Digital Media Literacy Program INFORMATION
The Digital Media Literacy program will be held in the Center for Media Production (CMP), January 6-10 and January 13-17, 2014, Monday through Friday, 9am – 4pm. The 10-day program will include daily exercises, media projects, and a final portfolio presentation. In the morning sessions, students will be introduced to project planning, digital equipment operation, field production, and post-production techniques. In the afternoon sessions, students will work individually or in small groups to plan a project, generate the appropriate media files and edit the materials into a finished product for dissemination.
All materials and information related to the DML program will be posted on the Digital Media Literacy Program Moodle coursepage - IDP07-J14. All software will be provided in the CMP’s Digital Video Lab and students will be given after-hours access (M-F, 4:00-10:00pm; Saturday, 10am-5pm and Sunday, Noon-10pm) for the duration of the program.
How to Get Started
Students must submit an online application by 5pm on November 20, 2013 for the Digital Media Certificate program to be held during J-Term 2014. Acceptance into the program is by competitive application only, with twelve seats available during the J-Term session.

All applicants who applied before 5pm on November 20, 2013 will be notified via email of their acceptance or waitlisted status by December 2, 2013.

- Students must create and present an online portfolio
